What have been the highlights of your time with Greenhill so far?

Firstly, the independence and trust given from the very beginning of my time here have allowed me to forge my own path whilst being fully supported by senior and international team members. Secondly, the ownership and responsibility given, even to juniors, is second to none; from playing a central role in relationship building to driving transactions all while leveraging our own unique interests and skillsets.

In your view, how does Greenhill set itself apart from other boutiques?

The culture at Greenhill is centred around investing in people - it's a core value driver but also a great retention tool. As staffer I have seen the senior team invest in the team's individual development goals, interests and projects preferences to ensure Greenhill team members are constantly growing and taking on bigger and better challenges. One of the many benefits of working at Greenhill is the generalist model which facilitates working across industries (as well as international offices) while allowing for growth in deal responsibility. The senior team has also focused on increasing everyone's involvement in the firm’s operations and ESG efforts which is a great way to diversify skillsets.

What is an aspect of your job that is often misunderstood by those outside of your field?

I’d say how diverse our day-to-day is. Regardless of rank, from Analyst to MD our days are constantly evolving. I can go from attending site visits to reviewing models to negotiating legal documentation and pitching for a new deal opportunity all in the span of a week.
