To start off the process, you will be asked to submit your most recent CV and to complete a few short motivational and competency-based screening questions. We will aim to get back to you with an update within a week of you submitting your application. It is really important to us that we hear your passion for Greenhill and reasons you wish to pursue a career in Investment Banking, therefore we want to hear your tone and own words, and not AI’s for our applications.

If your initial application is successful, you will be invited to a short video interview (30 mins) with one of the Freshminds team. This interview will combine motivational, competency, commercial and CV-based questions in order for us to get a better understanding of your skillset and interest in Greenhill. This interview will also provide an opportunity for you to ask any questions about the process.

After the initial interview, you will also be asked to complete a short online numerical reasoning test which takes 30 minutes to complete. This test screens for analytical, problem-solving and pattern recognition skills that are indicators of success in the internship. The test is not pass/fail, but we will take your score into account with your overall application when making our selection for moving candidates forward to the in-depth interview stage.

This is an extended interview (1hr) conducted by Freshminds; in addition to further motivational and competency-based questions, you can also expect to be asked technical, commercial, reasoning and scenario-based questions. In this interview, we aim to develop a well-rounded view of your interests, skill set, your understanding of the role of an Investment Banking Analyst and your motivations for applying to Greenhill specifically.

Successful candidates will be invited to a Virtual Assessment Centre conducted by 3 junior members of Greenhill's team, covering CV-based, technical and commercial questions. The final stage will be the In-person Assessment Centre at Greenhill's London office in Mayfair, with interviews conducted by 2 senior managers of the team. Your interviews will be practically assessing your skillset, reasoning skills, willingness to learn and motivations for Greenhill. There will be an option to attend the final AC virtually for those overseas.

If you have been successful during the In-Person Assessment Centre, you will be extended an offer and we will begin the on-boarding process and connect you with a mentor from the London team, to stay in contact with before you join, and to answer any questions. Candidates who have reached the in-depth interview stage and the Assessment Centre will be able to ask for detailed feedback from Freshminds, which will hopefully serve you well in future application processes.
